Terms of Service
Last updated: February 2026
1. Acceptance & Scope
By signing up for or using Traceloom.io ("Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't accept them, please don't use the Service.
Your relationship with TraceLoom:
- You are a "Customer"
- Jajoga, LLC ("TraceLoom," "we," "us") provides the Service
- This is a non-exclusive, revocable license to use TraceLoom — you do not own it
2. Free Tier & Pricing
Free tier limits:
- Up to 500 test runs per month
- Up to 2 concurrent workers
- Community support only (email, max 48-hour response)
- TraceLoom may discontinue or modify the free tier with 30 days notice
Paid tiers:
- Pricing available at traceloom.io/pricing
- Billing cycles are monthly or annual; all charges are non-refundable
- We may change pricing with 30 days written notice
- Cancel anytime; no refund for unused portions
3. Your AWS Account & Responsibilities
You must:
- Own or have authorization to use the AWS account you connect to TraceLoom
- Create an IAM role with only the permissions TraceLoom requires (we provide a template)
- Not over-scope the IAM role — grant only
ec2:RunInstances,ec2:TerminateInstances, and related spot-instance permissions (see our docs) - Keep your AWS account secure (enable MFA, rotate keys regularly)
- Monitor your AWS costs
Important: You are responsible for all AWS charges, including EC2 spot instance usage. TraceLoom does not bill you for AWS compute — your AWS account is billed directly by Amazon. We show estimated costs in the dashboard, but you are liable for all actual charges incurred.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree NOT to use TraceLoom to:
- Run tests for illegal purposes
- Reverse-engineer or attempt to access TraceLoom's infrastructure or other customers' AWS accounts
- Perform security testing or penetration testing of TraceLoom (without written permission)
- Resell, sublicense, or offer TraceLoom as a service to third parties
- Interfere with the Service or other users' use of it
Violation consequences: We may suspend your account immediately and permanently, with or without notice. Repeated violations may result in legal action.
5. Liability & Disclaimers
TraceLoom is provided "as-is."
We are NOT liable for:
- System downtime, service interruptions, or performance degradation
- Data loss, corruption, or incomplete test traces (even if caused by our infrastructure)
- AWS service failures, spot instance interruptions, or unavailability of AWS regions
- Third-party service failures (e.g., Stripe payment processing delays)
- Lost revenue, lost profits, lost data, or consequential damages
Our total liability (for any claim arising from or related to the Service) is limited to the amount you paid TraceLoom in the 12 months preceding the claim. If you haven't paid anything (free tier), our liability is zero.
You assume all risk for test data, IAM credentials, and configuration you provide to TraceLoom. We strongly recommend encrypting sensitive data before using TraceLoom.
6. Data & Backup Responsibility
- You own your test files and results — they live in your AWS account
- TraceLoom does not back up your test data — if you delete traces from your AWS account, they are gone
- You are responsible for backing up your AWS account to a separate region or account
- We may delete your account data (account info, usage logs) 30 days after you request account closure
7. Intellectual Property
- You own: Your test code, test files, results, and traces
- We own: TraceLoom software, documentation, logos, and any improvements or feedback you give us
- You grant us: The right to use anonymized usage data to improve the Service
8. Termination
You can terminate anytime:
- Delete your account in account settings → Account → Danger Zone
- Your data in TraceLoom (email, usage logs, account info) will be deleted within 30 days
- Your test data in your AWS account is yours to manage
We can terminate:
- If you breach these Terms and don't fix it within 7 days of notice
- If you violate our Acceptable Use policy
- At any time for any reason (free tier); we'll give 30 days notice for paid customers
9. Disputes & Governing Law
- These Terms are governed by the laws of Utah, USA, without regard to conflict of law
- Jurisdiction: You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Salt Lake County, Utah
- No class actions: You agree not to bring or participate in class action lawsuits against TraceLoom
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. We'll post the updated version here and notify you via email of material changes. If you disagree, you can close your account.
11. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and TraceLoom regarding the Service. All prior agreements, understandings, and negotiations are superseded.
