About TraceLoom

Distributed Playwright testing that keeps your data in your cloud.

Last updated: March 2026

What We Do

TraceLoom is a BYOC (Bring Your Own Cloud) platform for distributed Playwright testing. We run your end-to-end tests in parallel across your own AWS infrastructure and capture full Playwright traces for every run.

Every test generates a .trace.zip that stays in your S3 bucket. TraceLoom orchestrates the execution — sharding tests across EC2 Spot instances, managing queues, and streaming results — but your test artifacts never leave your account.

Why We Built TraceLoom

Existing cloud testing platforms require you to upload test artifacts, source code, and execution data to their infrastructure. For teams with strict data residency requirements, compliance obligations, or simply a preference for keeping test data internal, this is a non-starter.

We built TraceLoom because we believed there was a better model: give teams the speed and convenience of cloud-based parallel testing without forcing them to hand over their data. The BYOC architecture means TraceLoom deploys workers into your AWS account via CloudFormation. You control the infrastructure, the data, and the costs.

Our Mission

Keep test data in your own cloud. We believe fast, reliable end-to-end testing shouldn't require giving up control of your infrastructure or your data. TraceLoom exists to make distributed Playwright testing accessible to every team — on their own terms.

The Team

TraceLoom is built by a small, focused team with deep experience in cloud infrastructure, developer tooling, and test automation. We're practitioners first — we built TraceLoom to solve problems we encountered ourselves.
